literature course
F. Dürrenmatt's physicist
crazy Drama
Philip Arndt, OI
After a school year of preparation it is ready on 8 June 1999 . Under the direction of Carola Zbirovsky-Baumgard and the assistant direction of Roland Klug literature course in grade 12 presents the comedy "Physicists" by Friedrich Dürrenmatt.
Half an hour before the performance the 130 seats of the Blue Hall are almost fully occupied. You can already recognize the green and white, hospital like stage design that was prepared with great labor deployment. The audience expects the political and critical science drama depicting the East-West conflict of the Cold War and the threat of nuclear weapons in an amusing exaggeration.
In a mental hospital for extremely wealthy patients, three seemingly confused physicist Möbius, Ernesti and Beutler (Christoph Ullrich, David Vaessen and Max Nüllen) are in focus. All play their roles very convincing, so Newton is represented in every situation as a soberly, dry and factual scientists, some funny. Quietly, he struts across the stage and seems impervious to the current days events. By providing the highest excitement and frantic jumping across the stage and through good dose vocal power Möbius' desperation is obvious. The fourth main role is that of the neurologist Miss. Dr. Mathilde von Zahnd (Nadine Pungs), heartless owner of the clinic, just lusting after the money of their patients. It is impressive how convincing Nadine Pungs plays the freezing cold, domineering chief physician, as articulated in constant change between patch friendliness and outrageous rebukes.
The cunning and arrogant facial expression bring the whole malice to light. Automatic must have pity with the patient. But all the other actors, such as the inspector and the staff of the institution, have been found in well in their roles and the individual characters through successful facial expressions, speech and movement embodies appropriate. Spectators: "Of these sisters I would also like to be treated."
Mobius has made discoveries in physics that enable new, devastating weapons systems. He fears the consequences and plays the wrong scientist in his desperate situation. Newton and Einstein, in reality spies the CIA and the KGB, both trying to win Möbius for their purposes. In order not to reveal their secrets, kill each of the three physicists a nurse. Too late they recognize the mental clarity of the other two, because they are already held as in a prison. At the end, the utter perversion of the facts, since it appears that Miss. Dr. Von Zahnd is the only truly lunatic. She has seen through Möbius' genius long, stole his manuscripts and is about to take over the world domination. For a spontaneous outburst of enthusiasm in the audience provides senior nurse Uwe Siewers (Holger Brockmann) because he takes the stage in muscle emphatic presentation - the rapture of the ladies.
Overall convince the amateur actors in their simple, faithful costumes by amazingly good acting performances. You cheer by numerous comic deposits over again the audience and provide an entertaining evening. A minute long applause recognizes the respectable performance. Even the actors themselves are "very satisfied". "Compared to the dress rehearsal was the appearance a 100 percent increase," said Christoph Ullrich, "a super-audience". As happy and proud of their average 18-year-old pupils, is Mrs. Zbirovsky-Baumgard: "They have outdone theirselves today, implemented most of the suggestions and even added a lot of their own!"
The proceeds of the beverage and food sales will benefit the leukemia Julian Dittmer.
