Gdansk 2014

Photographs from Gdansk and its surroundings

We went on the 7/23/.2015 from Warsaw further to Gdansk. After the towing action in Warsaw I had booked a guarded parking bay in Gdansk by email. Here our lodging was not so nice as in Warsaw, because though the pension  was only a few years old and the rooms was quite big and well  equipped, one noticed that the rooms were not so clean and had to be refurbished already . The big advantage which we had here: we lay in the middle of the Old Town, only 100 m away from the centre. As in Warsaw in Gdansk the Old Town also was completely restored, so that there was enough to see here. A round trip to the Westerplatte just belonged to the programme as a visit of the Galeria Baltyca, with 200 shops and 1100 parking bays the biggest shopping centre in Pomerania. Here different from Warsaw one met increasingly on German tourists and in some restaurants the menu cards were translated to German. Here the dog's life was more limited than in Warsaw, but also here one found surfaces where it could rave sometimes.

We really disliked to leave Gdansk, here we should have included more than three days stay in our plan, but Rostock was already waiting for us
