20th and 21st of July 2012 Bregenz (harbour, Discofox - ship)

Today it's friday, the 20th of July 2012 and the wheater is again very changeable. We drive to Bregenz today, a town located on the eastern shores of Lake Constance. The plan is to take a stroll around town but because of the rain we finally sit in a restaurant near the harbour of Bregenz. Among some excursion boats the event ship MS Sonnenkönigin is lying there at anchor. This ship looks very impressive, but the prices of these events are also expressive. The next evening there is a gala event on this ship and all passengers have to be dressed in white clothes. Unfortunately we didn't take white clothes with us. But there is another poster arousing my interest. A dance school organizes a discofox - party at an excursion boat the same evening. That is completely our thing. So I buy tickets for my wife and me.

Next evening we have dinner at the restaurant we sat last afternoon. Looking outside we see that's raining very hard - too bad for the ladies and gentlemen in white, whose party starts an hour before ours and who wants to reach the ship (about 100m away) with dry clothes. A charming Austrian lady tries vainly to buy my umbrella, but my wife and I prefer to reach our ship also with dry clothes. When our ship finally starts, the rain stops so we can use the weather decks for dancing too. 

The atmosphere on board is simpy sensational, all people are friendly, you immediately gets into contact with other people and an really exciting program awaits us. It's a pity I have no camera with me, because I'm here in order to dance and not to film, but the dance performances are impressive.

After return we lie at anchor besides MS Sonnenkönigin and many ladies and gentlemen in white join our party. :-)
